    Every time a copyright expires or is otherwise invalidated, an angel gets their wings…

    Or at leas that is how I think of it. I am generally opposed to the intellectual property as it has evolved over the last 250 years.

    A well intended provision of the Constitution, meant to support the creation of new work in the arts and sciences, has been perverted through 200 years of legislation into bulwark that protects those who buy up and monetize the original work of others.

    So while these are scheduled expirations – Hallelujah! And if we figure out a way to actually protect producers and take IP protection away from opportunists – even better.
